Wednesday Night Supper Club is honored to be recognized with the "Partner of the Year 2025" award from Burien Collaborative. Our friends at the Collaborative have supported us from the beginning, partnering with us and sharing resources of time, food, supplies, equipment, and institutional support. Many of our organizers have attended trainings, workshops, and community events in keeping with our shared love of community, joy, and plenty. Burien Collaborative has also partnered with us to distribute grocery gift cards to our guests for survey participation. We've made connections with food banks, service providers, and other community partners through our relationship with Burien Collaborative.

Our friends at DESC Bloomside permanent supportive housing nominated us for this award, recognizing the role we have played in making their residents feel welcome to their new homes. The Board of Burien Collaborative affirmed this in selecting our group from among those nominated. They also wanted to honor our founder Miss Vicky Hartley, who passed away last April. She leaves an incredible legacy of activism and community support and inspired so many in our community.

We make our impact greater by affirming that we are stronger together. Partnerships like this build community across lines of division—political, racial, and class divides break down when we share a meal with each other. Burien Collaborative is a critical resource for the work we do, and we look forward to continue partnering with them through community work together including capacity building, workshops, and resource sharing, in 2026 and beyond.
